Advanced Farmstead Cheese making: Hard Aged Cheese

Third class of a three part series. Discover the process of Farmstead, hand-crafted cheese making: Pasture to Cheese Plate, the life cycle of farmstead cheese.

This advanced class includes a hard cheese make, discuss cheese making equipment and recipes, troubleshooting, resources for home cheese making. You’ll leave with the knowledge of how to make a wheel of cheese from start to finish and best of all your own wheel to ripen!

Cheesemaking classes are for ages 16 and up. Advanced class is 4 hours, Wednesdays 11am-3pm and includes a light lunch as well as wheel of cheese to take home or leave for us to age for you.

Students should wear clean clothing and clean shoes. Creamery apparel (lab coats, hairnets, shoe covers and gloves) will be provided.
